We then sat down mind mapped our ideas and came to the conclusion of either re-filming in Peterborough, using random related shots or either 'Green Screening'. We felt by using Green Screen not only would it be very effective but it would also help to boost the grade of our production as it includes another effect. We used the stop- motion at the beginning of our piece, re-filming would take precious editing time and using random shots would not really be fitting. So we decided, although we could not afford a proffesional green screen room or we didn't have any similar equipment, to use green paper covering the floor roughly by 1m x 1.5m. We chose to put it on the floor as the lighting from the ceiling was efficiently spread across the whole of the green paper and not overly bright so it still merged well with our normal shots. We got Ashley to lie on the green floor filming above his torso, rapping the chorus needed.
Before editing the footage we asked various students and teachers for the opinions, they told us it looked effective and they couldn't notice that Ashley was lying down. So we further edited the footage and added various locations to the background to refer to the lyrics and to stop it from becoming to repetitive.
When we finished editing we had plenty of footage but we felt we could still incorporate more effects into our production. We decided to use 'Typography' as it would make a change from watching the protagonist rap. So we added it to the last chorus and that's what our production ended with. We felt by ending with 'Typography' not only was it something different but it was very effective and helped our production to maintain a high standard.
